How many survivors out there are still suffering the physical fallout from abuse?

Every day I wake up and I stumble to grab a piece of furniture so I don’t fall. I then will myself to get a cup of coffee so I can maybe stand up long enough to shower. Then it takes another hour to wrestle with my clothes until I get dressed. I have a rare degenerative neuro disease which is paralyzing my legs and arms. My hands are the latest victims which is why I am trying to get this site done as quickly as possible. Once I lose my hands…well, it only gets worse from there. This neuromuscular disease is further aggravated by the fact that I have had every joint in my body replaced, every rib and my sternum broken (thanks to a bone scan and a chatty nurse who felt the need to tell me about all my old broken bones) 12 abdominal surgeries, back surgeries and on and on. I was told a long time ago that my own abuse has led to a majority of my health problems. It’s hard not to be angry. I never heard of Complex PTSD until I went through 6 months of seizures and ended up in Jefferson University’s neuroscience center with electrodes glued to my head for 2 weeks. After teams of doctors met with me, they told me that Complex PTSD was the cause of my seizures. So I tried to use art to deal with my anger and anxiety but now my hands have made that nearly impossible so thanks to speech to text software and some crafty programming knowledge, I have built this website as my swan song. I hope it helps someone. If it helps just one child avoid my fate it will be worth it to me.
