Evil Prospers when Good Men do Nothing

Teach Children it’s safe to speak. Equip Adults to Act. Break the cycle before it’s to late
There are couple reasons I am creating this site. One, is the fact that I am slowly going paralyzed and won’t be capable of typing too much longer.
My primary reason is in my How to Start Speaking to Children page. With the ever-increasing violence among youth. School Shootings, cyber-bullying, suicides…I can’t watch the news anymore. I am sickened by what human beings do to each other. I believe that the problems we are seeing are being set in motion at a very young age. If we do not start talking to children in Kindergarten or first grade, when there is still a chance to help them, we are going to continue to see this path of violence and depravity beginning at ever younger ages.
We spend money on domestic abuse shelters, rape counseling, prisons, drug and alcohol rehabs, etc., but we are emptying the ocean with a teaspoon. These addicts, criminals, school shooters, etc., weren’t born vicious. Something happened to them early on. Every serial killer and almost everyone in prison, rehab, or living on the streets, etc., is from a background of neglect, abuse, or some other depravity from a very young age. I remember someone coming to my grade school when I was in 7th grade to talk to us about drugs. I was already drinking and buying pot at the age of 10. Telling people that drugs will cause them a lot of problems made me yawn. People who use drugs to deal with their demons need the drugs to get through the day. Some people use drugs and alcohol and are able to get help and never go back to it. God Bless them. I feel for those who try to get clean over and over but keep going back until they either die, end up on the streets or suicide, They are the ones who find that staying clean is just too painful to maintain. They are usually the ones with the most damage and unfortunately, they either die or end up in prison. Their stories die with them.
I feel compelled to do something. I believe the school system MUST start talking to children in kindergarten or even preschool about abuse. Talking to them in middle school or high school is way too late. By then, the damage is done. I assure you, I was already mentally ill by the age of 8. By age 10, I was buying drugs off the corner dealer.
Children need to know they are not alone. Children should be aware that they don’t have to keep secrets. Otherwise, domestic abuse, rape, molestation, and child abuse will continue. Every day we allow these children to live with abuse, we are grooming the next generation of rapists, child molesters, violent criminals, suicides etc. The violence and depravity in our society will continue to get worse as more children are abused and neglected. Help them now!!! Don’t wait until one of them has a gun in your face…WE MUST ACT NOW–BEFORE THE DAMAGE IS DONE.
Our Mission: Protect Children. Empower Survivors. Wake Adults
Children need to know they are not alone. They don’t have to keep secrets, even when abusers try to scare them. Every adult must act when they see warning signs — because ignoring abuse today creates trauma tomorrow. Together,…..we can break the cycle.
