Child Welfare and Awareness
My primary reason for creating this website is to reach educators, child-service workers, doctors and adults everywhere. I want to say wake up and do not assume someone else will deal with child abuse and neglect. Do not fall prey to the attitude that other’s children are not your problem. The fact is, they are going to get older, angrier and increasingly violent. One way or another, you will deal with them. You can help them when they are little or you can pay later to hold them in prisons or when you are victimized by them. The message targets adults and professionals who may influence children.
I am creating this site now for two main reasons. First, I am rapidly losing the use of my hands from a neuromuscular disease. Second, the most important reason is that by age eight I was already damaged beyond repair.
By 8 years old, I slept with a knife under my pillow. Had anyone intervened or told me that what was happening to me was not my fault and that I mattered; I can’t even imagine how differently my story could have been. Children need to know that they are not alone. They are at our mercy and I think we have all seen what happens when children grow up in traumatic environments. They are easy to find: they fill our prisons, our mental hospitals, drug rehabs, they sleep in our subways and they fill our graveyards. The suicides, the homicides, the violence and school shootings could have turned out quite differently if someone had been paying attention.
Reaching children before they are damaged to the extent that they wouldn’t have to spend the rest of their lives trying to deal with it is CRUCIAL. It can change futures and save lives. This work addresses Trauma by highlighting warning signs and supports. Educators, caregivers, and communities play a vital role in guiding those at risk.
Supporting Youth Through Early Conversations
If we hope to reduce violence among youth, we must start talking with children while they are still young enough to be helped. We should foster an environment of openness where children feel safe to share their feelings with a trusted adult.
I believe strongly that the problems we see today are set in motion at a very young age, often worsened by societal pressures and underfunded support systems. If we do not begin conversations in Kindergarten or earlier, this trend will worsen. This lack of early dialogue can contribute to Trauma and aggression that affects individuals and generations.
I put together What Children Need to Know, a guide that emphasizes age-appropriate conversations and active listening. I believe we must tell these truths early, equipping children with knowledge and trust that they are not alone. This can help them grow into well-adjusted, compassionate individuals who know their rights and feel empowered to seek help.

Our Mission: Protect Children. Empower Survivors. Wake Adults
Children need to know they are not alone. They don't have to keep secrets. Adults must act when they see warning signs. Ignoring abuse today creates trauma tomorrow. Don't wait until they become your problem through violence or crime.
Together.....WE CAN break the cycle.
